JTS Properties is the dream of a dentist from Illinois whose first visit to Clearwater Beach, Florida was in the early 1980's.

Over the years he visited several times and developed close friendships with many residents. He finally purchased a second home on the island ( See "The Beach House") and equipped it with all the amenities of home.

After receiving feedback from renting the house occasionally to families he realized that he could provide a quality family vacation on Clearwater Beach that would closely approximate what it would be like to live on the beach. In the ensuing years he purchased and rehabbed several residences on the beach making them mini resorts for families or private quality getaway's for couples. The dentist has worked hard to make sure every detail is taken care of so you can enjoy "Life like a native" on Clearwater Beach, Florida.

FAVORITE RESTAURANTS ON CLEARWATER BEACH

This is a list of my personal favorite restaurants on Clearwater Beach

CASUAL

Frenchy's Rockaway Grill (727 446 4844)  7 Rockaway St. Clearwater Beach.   American food and fresh seafood.  Alcohol served.  Open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. 

Frenchy owns four restaurants on Clearwater Beach.  They all have similar menus but this one has an outdoor deck overlooking the beach and the Gulf.  Grouper sandwiches and She-crab soup are a menu highlight and Frenchy owns his own seafood company to ensure fresh high quality.  Prices are inexpensive to moderate.

Kiku Japanese Restaurant (727 461 2633)  483 Mandalay Ave. #214 Clearwater  Beach.  Sushi and traditional Japanese food.  Tables and mats for dining with a sushi bar.  Open for dinner only, 6 nights a week closed Sunday.  Located upstairs  in the two story pink building.   Alcohol served (beer & wine only).

Best sushi on the beach.  Excellent Japanese food with polite high quality service.  Sushi bar here is where it's at.  I have never had a bad meal here.  Prices are moderate to expensive.

FINE DINING

Bob Heileman's Beachcomber  (727  442 4144) 447 Mandalay Clearwater Beach.  Business casual to dressy.  American and Continental fare.  Open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week.  Alcohol served (full bar).

This elegant restaurant serves a varied menu.  There is not a questionable entre on this menu!  Service is spectacular.  Food quality is unbelievable for a restaurant on the beach.  Wine list is wonderful.  Prices are moderate to expensive but well worth it.   Be sure to have time for a cocktail at the bar from "Don, Jerry, or Matt."  They are experts at their craft!

Bobby's Bistro (727 446 9463)  447 Mandalay Clearwater Beach.  Business casual to dressy.  American and Continental fare.  Open for dinner only, 7 nights a week.  Alcohol served (full bar).

This sister restaurant to Bob Heileman's (owned by the same family) serves a younger crowd.  Menu is not as varied but you can sit in a fabulous outside dining area lush with Florida vegetation.  The specials are the ticket here and each night brings a different excellent choice.  The wine list is spectacular!  Prices are moderate to expensive.

Island Way Grill (727 461 6617)  20 Island Way  Clearwater Beach.  Business Casual to dressy.  American, Continental, Sushi bar.  Open for dinner 7 nights per week.  Alcohol served (full bar). 

This restaurant is on Island Estates just off the main beach.  Take the roundabout off the beach and make a left at the first stoplight.  Restaurant is 1 block down on your left. High quality food in an elegant atmosphere.  High activity.  The place to see and be seen.  Outdoor dining and an outdoor bar with leather sportfisherman seats for bar stools.  Expansive menu and great wine list.  The lobster and beef dishes are out of this world and the sushi is awesome!  Expensive.

The Columbia Restaurant (727 596 8400) 1241 Gulf boulevard (next to the Marriott Sand Key) Clearwater Beach.  Casual  dress on the deck overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway.  Business casual to dressy in the main restaurant.  Spanish food.  Open for lunch and dinner 7 nights a week.  Alcohol served (full bar).

This restaurant, on Sand Key, is a short drive from north Clearwater Beach.  Just go around the roundabout to the south beach and follow the road across the bridge to Sand Key.  This restaurant is next to the Marriott.  Incredible food.  If you have never tried Spanish food you are in for a treat!  An incredible view of the Intracoastal waterway while you dine on the very best Spanish food anywhere.  Moderate to expensive.

The Black Pearl (727 734 Dine) 315 Main St., Dunedin.  Business casual to dressy.  American and Continental food.  Open for dinner only 7 nights a week.  Alcohol served (full bar).

Reservations are a must at this:   the most intimate and romantic restaurant in the area.  It�s a little drive off Clearwater Beach but well worth the trip.  Take the roundabout off Clearwater Beach and go to downtown Clearwater.  Turn left onto Alternate route 19 north.  This eventually is a beautiful drive following the intracoastal waterway (breathtaking at sunset).  When you see the Dunedin marina on your left the road makes a right turn.  At the nest stoplight go straight rather than follow Alt 19.  The Black Pearl is on your right in the first block.  Even with reservations there may be a short wait.  Try the Chik-a-boom-room next door for a cocktail or wine.  Every dish is extraordinary with the menu changing on a regular basis. Ask for the butternut squash ravioli for an appetizer.  The rack of lamb is to die for!  After dinner or before explore Dunedin; home to artists and artisans and their shops (hours vary).  Expensive.
